Established in 1979, Vermont Composites Inc. is a designer and fabricator of composite structures. It operates from 85,000 square feet of manufacturing facility, based in Bennington. It has received Nadcap Accreditation for Composites, AC7118, Rev. A, which includes adhesive bonding, metal bonding and core processing. Established in 1982, Abacus Automation Inc. is a designer and builder of customized automation equipment. Based in Bennington, Vt., the company designs simple ergonomic workstations, fully automatic multimachine systems and vision-based robotic systems for laser soldering, laser cutting and laser drilling. In addition to providing mechanical and pneumatic drawings, it provides several services in robotic integration, design services, product marking and retrofitting. Additionally, the company offers various material handling equipments, such as conveyor systems, boxing machines, auto-test equipments and automotive switch assembler.
