Established in 1982, Abacus Automation Inc. is a designer and builder of customized automation equipment. Established in 1979, Vermont Composites Inc. is a designer and fabricator of composite structures. It operates from 85,000 square feet of manufacturing facility, based in Bennington. The company provides services, including design, analysis, prototyping, testing, production and machining to a number of aerospace, medical and industrial clients across the world. It has received Nadcap Accreditation for Composites, AC7118, Rev. A, which includes adhesive bonding, metal bonding and core processing. Vermont Composites Inc. is a recipient of the Star Supplier Award from Lock Heed Martin in 2009.
