HistorySex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) was founded in San Francisco, California in 2003Since then chapters began to develop in various US Cities There was nothing in San Antonio remotely close to addressing the needs of Ms Sassy Sherry and the other Sex Workers in the community Ms Sassy was/is involved with a few online Sex Worker and Human Rights groups and when she noticed the explosion of SWOP chapters, She immediately contacted SWOP, USA about San Antonio There were no immediate plans for anyone to begin organizing a chapter here, much to her disappointment However, after several emails between her and a few Board Members, it was suggested that she start the chapter herself On April 14th, 2015, Sex Workers Outreach Project of San Antonio SWOP SATX was founded Over the last year SWOP chapters have doubled across America~
