History

Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) was founded in San Francisco, California in 2003~Since then chapters began to develop in various US Cities~ There was nothing in San Antonio remotely close to addressing the needs of Ms Sassy Sherry and the other Sex Workers in the community~ Ms Sassy was/is involved with a few online Sex Worker and Human Rights groups and when she noticed the explosion of SWOP chapters, She immediately contacted SWOP, USA about San Antonio~ There were no immediate plans for anyone to begin organizing a chapter here, much to her disappointment~ However, after several emails between her and a few Board Members, it was suggested that she start the chapter herself~ On April 14th, 2015, Sex Workers Outreach Project of San Antonio ~ SWOP SATX was founded~ Over the last year SWOP chapters have doubled across America~
