He was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine in 2021 and has mentored over 20 premedical students. Dr. Larson also seeks out volunteer opportunities in medicine and has previously volunteered in free clinics in Grand Island, NE; Lincoln, NE; Omaha, NE; and Falmouth, Jamaica. Dr. Larson’s hobbies include competing in disc dog competitions with his Border Collies, Finkelstein and Cody and exploring the Black Hills with his wife, Amanda.
