Marc L Benton, MD, FAASM, FCCP joins Summit Health from Atlantic Sleep & Pulmonary Associates, which is now Atlantic Sleep & Pulmonary Associates at Summit Health. He has been named a New Jersey Magazine Top Doctor and a Castle-Connolly Top Doctor each year since 2001. He is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians where he served on the national Practice Management Committee and has given lectures at their annual international meetings. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and a member of the American Thoracic Society. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he previously lectured to second-year students on the topic of Sleep Medicine. After serving as the co-director of the Sleep Laboratory at Morristown Medical Center for many years, he became the medical director of the SleepWell Center at Madison in 2010, which is now part of Summit Health. He has assembled a team of highly experienced and extremely reputable medical professionals, including physicians and non-physicians, all committed to delivering state-of-the-art care for all sleep disorders while also providing the highest level of customer service. Dr. Benton and the other staff members regularly deliver invited presentations to other medical and dental providers as well as business and community venues throughout the metropolitan area.

When he is not working, Dr. Benton enjoys travel, playing golf, and maintaining saltwater aquariums.

She worked on the original research to validate home testing for sleep apnea.
