Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School

Argenta-Oreana High School is a part of the Argenta-Oreana School District comprising of approximately 76 square miles of territory in the Macon and DeWitt counties of Illinois. The school district is organized by attendance centers and the high school is located in Argenta, Ill. It has a pupil teacher ratio of 15:1. Students must earn 26 credits for graduation, courses in government, health, consumer education and consumer education, English, math, American history, social studies, art, music, foreign language and vocational education. Physical education is compulsory. Students can participate in extra-curricular activities such as in cheerleading, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball and track. Additional opportunities are available in scholastic bowl, the high school newspaper, yearbook, student council and drama.

Clara Peterson Elementary School is a coeducational institution that provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade two. The school has a library that provides access to online encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, magazines, newspapers, databases, graphics and other reference materials. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as art, health and physical education, speech and language, math, science, social studies and technology. In addition, the school has a cafeteria that serves a variety of food items to students and faculty members. Located in Paxton, Ill., Clara Peterson Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher association and is a part of Paxton-Buckley-Loda Community Unit School District 10.
