Sarah E. Marmol, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. She has published her research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific papers at professional symposiums. Dr. Marmol views the patient-physician relationship as a care partnership. Samer D. Tabbal, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist and director of the movement disorders program at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Tabbal earned his medical degree at American University of Beirut. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a two-year fellowship in movement disorders at Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City. Widely published in peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Tabbal’s research focuses on the mechanisms of action of deep brain stimulation and its effects on brain imaging, movement control, cognition and mood. Dr. Tabbal is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and a member of several other professional organizations. Dr. Tabbal’s clinical philosophy is to treat patients as if they were family by providing compassionate, personalized care to enhance their well-being. Dr. Tabbal is fluent in English and Arabic. When he is not researching, educating or treating patients, he enjoys spending time with family as well as hiking, biking, cultural travel, philosophical discussions, watching soccer, scuba diving and exploring marine animals.
