Being sick can be scary, but it’s my goal to make it less so. By first listening well, then communicating effectively, I help patients better understand their illnesses and treatment plans. Caring for the whole person is also important to me. I want to not only care for my patients’ physical needs, but also for them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe you cannot fully care for a person unless you strive to do this. Primary care brings a wide spectrum of medical conditions and a lot of diversity to the job, which I enjoy, along with patients of all ages and backgrounds who come to the clinic. I especially love working with kids. A number of experiences have led to my career as a physician assistant including mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Russia, and Ukraine, and coaching Little League Baseball for six years after high school. I’ve also worked for Wisconsin Early Autism Project as a line therapist. I am a father and husband, first and foremost. My daughter, Millie, and wife, Abby are the best part of my life; I love spending time with them as well as with the rest of my family. And you can count me as a huge Packers and Brewers fan!

I believe my job as a family physician is to meet patients wherever they are in their healthcare journeys, to understand their wellness goals, and ultimately help them achieve those goals. I enjoy getting to know my patients throughout their lifespans and working together to achieve health and wellness. I was drawn to family medicine because of its full scope and continuity of care: the ability to follow all members of the family throughout their lives. One of my favorite parts is practicing prenatal and obstetrical care. I also enjoy performing office procedures and have training in Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT), a hands-on medical therapy that helps the body heal itself by restoring balance and function. I practice evidence-based medicine, preventative care, and follow medical society guidelines, yet I understand that each person is unique and complex. With this, I enjoy having open dialogue and personalizing care based on each individual.
