Founded in 1970, Operation Fresh Start is a nonprofit organization that provides employment and training services to more than 7,000 youths and adults. The organization offers leadership development, counseling and skills training services. It administers residential construction and remodeling programs. Operation Fresh Start also provides restoration services for lands and parks and builds boardwalks and shelters. It additionally offers troubleshoot and emotional support to graduates. The organization provides services for disadvantaged youths who complete high school education. Operation Fresh Start works in partnership with the US Department of Labor, Corps Network, City of Madison Community Development Block Grant and United Way of Dane County.
