if !vml endif Faith Haven was the vision of a group of dedicated businessperson in the Western Area of the City of Duluth in the late 1960's. After considerable research and effort the group formed and incorporated a non-profit business to be known as Faith Haven, Incorporated. The organization applied for and was granted a HUD sponsored and FHA guaranteed Section 236 loan, funded by the Federal National Mortgage Association ( FNMA ). With the funding in place the 124-unit senior citizen apartment facility was completed in July of 1971. The corporation dedicated the facility in late 1971 to provide a safe, economical and efficiently managed residential apartment facility for the senior residents of the area being of the age of 62 years and older.
