Jennifer Hunt, MD

The pediatrics specialty is a natural fit because of my love for working with children and my passion for education. Kids are so courageous, resilient and optimistic, and it’s such fulfilling work to be able to care for them. This role includes many opportunities for teaching, and the knowledge shared can often help patients and parents improve well-being. I’m often described as having an upbeat attitude and personality and believe this has something to do with being around kids all day. My goal with each visit is to provide age-appropriate care and open communication that supports the optimal health of every child within the context of the family, community and environmental setting.

It’s scary when your child gets sick and you don’t know the source of the pain or how to fix it. Seeing my daughter battle repeated respiratory problems gave me a better appreciation of the things that make up ThedaCare’s quality pediatric care – getting in fast, coming to the correct diagnosis and starting treatment right away. I’m not just here to treat injuries and illnesses. I’m also here to provide comfort by easing the concerns of parents and soothing any butterflies your kids might be feeling.

Providing education and guidance during each stage of a child’s life, Dr. Ann Jones builds long-term relationships with her patients and their families. She finds it rewarding to teach children how to make safe and healthy choices that will carry them into adulthood. Dr. Jones attended Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. She then received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her residency at the University of Utah Primary Children’s Hospital. She is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. When Dr. Jones is not at work, she is mother of two adult daughters and lives an active lifestyle by exercising daily and eating healthy.
