Blackhawk Community Credit Union is a community chartered nonprofit, cooperative financial institution formed to help its membership save, borrow, and obtain financial services. The credit union places its attention on serving its memberships' best interests, not on maximizing banking profits. The credit union is a full service institution, offering all the amenities of a bank. Membership is limited to employees of specific companies and others in southern Wisconsin. Membership entitles customers to a wide range of financial products and services and the union is equipped to be the full service financial center. As a member, customers own a 'share' in the credit union. Customers also vote for a Board of Directors. The credit union has four locations, two located in Janesville and one in Edgerton and Delavan, Wisc.
