Prestera Center For Mental Health Services
Founded in 1967, the Prestera Center offers mental health care services for people of all ages. It serves Cabell, Mason, Lincoln, Wayne, Putnam, Boone, Clay and Kanawha counties in West Virginia. The center provides outpatient, detoxification and public inebriate services, as well as short- and long-term residential housing programs. It also offers crisis intervention, case management and therapeutic treatment services. The center additionally provides medication management, transportation, support and supervision services. It offers psychiatric care, psychotherapy and money management services. The center s outpatient services include individual, group and family therapies. The Prestera Center offers a mentoring program for the development of problem solving and social skills in children. It employs therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists. The center maintains a location in Branchland, W.Va.
