Meet Dr. Ranson David W. Ranson, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has additional training in plastic surgery and burn care. Dr. Ranson is a native of West Virginia and practices at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston Area Medical Center, and Boone Memorial Hospital. He sees patients in South Charleston, West Virginia, and beyond. Dr. Ranson attended undergrad at West Virginia University in Morgantown, where he graduated with honors. He was subsequently accepted to West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Ranson then completed a five-year surgical residency at the Charleston Division of the WVU School of Medicine at Charleston Area Medical Center. Today, Dr. Ranson is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the WVU School of Medicine in Charleston. He is the Cancer Liaison Physician for the American College of Surgeons.
