Viking Kennels

History

Carmen Helgesen took over the kennel with her assistant Lucy Tuggle in 1994, since then we have been providing love and care for pets of all ages and sizes (including bully breeds) for Kitsap County. Both Carmen and Lucy live next door to the kennel its' self, so that even at night someone is close by. We have always done our best to make your pet feel at home as much as possible. We know that dogs can be picky eaters when away from home and so through the years we have pampered many a pooch to get them to eat. Over the years we have boarded a number of different pets, for example; guinea pigs, birds, hamsters and at one time we even boarded a goat. One winter we had a little Italian Grey Hound that weighed maybe 4 pounds, and when the winter weather hit and it was to cold for her little body in the kennel, Lucy took her home and took care of her. Through the years we have seen young pups become old dogs and Viking Kennels was like there second home.
