Founded in 2001 by a merger between Post Falls Fire Department and Kootenai Fire Protective District #1, Kootenai County Fire & Rescue is one of the largest full-service fire districts in Idaho. It employs more than 100 career and volunteer firefighters who provide a range of emergency and support services.
