Parks & Recreation Service

Seattle Parks and Recreation is managed by the city of Seattle and provides various services and recreational programs. The department manages more than 400 parks athletic fields, neighborhood play areas, fishing piers, golf courses and boulevards. The department s facilities also include swimming and wading pools and its offers swimming lessons. It has a tennis center that provides junior and adult group lessons, tiny tot programs, junior and adult camps and adult play instruction classes. Additionally, it has a community center that offer a wide range of classes for children, including acting, aerobics, basketball, chess, dance, drawing, gymnastics, jazz, music, origami, piano, pottery and science workshops. Seattle Parks and Recreation also has an aquarium and a zoo and the division is located in Seattle.
