"Dr. Mawad is dedicated to providing her patients wit the most up-to-date information and available treatments, in order to empower them during their treatment. She discerns patient priorities and level of understanding to help engage patients in their own health care. She is committed to advancing the field of hematology and oncology, with a particular focus on clinical research of benign and malignant hematologic disorders. She strives to individualize patient treatment and believes that top notch patient care requires team work involving multiple excellent people and resources available at Swedish."

Brianna's philosophy of care is patient-centered. She believes that patients are the experts of themselves. Her goal as a genetic counselor in the Hereditary Cancer Clinic is to provide patients with the education and tools they need to make the best decisions for their care. To achieve this, she spends dedicated time with patients assessing their personal and family history related to cancer and presenting options for genetic testing.
