Jewish Family Service of Tidewater, located in Virginia Beach, Va., and founded in 1946, provides a variety of services for the health, education and welfare needs of the Hampton metropolitan area residents. The organization has a team of trained staff, volunteers, board of directors and members of the community that provide services to people of all ethnic, racial, social and economic groups. It also offers services and programs, including adoption, pregnancy counseling, adoptive families, adoption home studies, child placement and post-placement services. Jewish Family Service of Tidewater provides a variety of programs for individuals, couples and families, such as counseling, services for people with special needs, food closet, baskets of hope,information and referral and Soviet-Jewish adaptation program.
