Varina Elementary School is an educational facility that provides a range of learning opportunities for students in grades three through five. Founded in 1909, it offers classes in industrial arts, physical education and music. The school also operates a parent-teacher association and library and media center. Varina Elementary School provides food and guidance counseling services. In addition, it operates birthday book and hawk readers clubs. The school organizes book fairs. Varina Elementary School is a part of Henrico County Public Schools, which enrolls students in elementary, middle and high schools. The district s schools offer special education programs for gifted and talented students.
