Portsmouth Volunteers for the Homeless

Holiday House of Portsmouth is a private nonprofit organization that provides an intermediate care facility for mentally challenged people between the ages of 4 and 21 years. It is an International Coach Federation Medicaid Facility. It provides 24-hours nursing care, physical, speech and occupational therapies to patients suffering from mental, physical and emotional disabilities and disorders. Its facility includes living areas, kitchen, common areas, bedrooms, swimming pool and special activity rooms. It also offers various recreational activities and transportation facility. It is licensed by the state of Virginia. The organization works in association with the Virginia Department of Mental Health and Southeastern Virginia Training Center.
