From humble beginnings as an outdoor-only cafe in the small town of Buena Vista, Virginia, Brian and Nina have always been at the heart of this special restaurant. Through blood, sweat, tears - and the sacrifice of having no social life - Brian and Nina have built FotM Cafe into what you see today. "We are truly blessed", says Brian, "when you work hard and do things the right way, you will be blessed". They met working in the kitchen at a previous job and fell in love. Both dreamed of their own place with amazing food and great service at a reasonable price. Having a combined 21 years of restaurant industry experience at the time, they found an opportunity and jumped on it. Brian combined his knowledge of the industry with some of his mother's favorite dishes - with his own twist - to open the first FotM Cafe location on July 31st, 2015. With Nina working as front of house and Brian manning the kitchen they quickly became a community favorite.

I absolutely recommend this place. Foot of the Mountain Cafe feels like the kind of spot where you instantly relax as soon as you sit down. The food was fresh, hearty, and clearly made with care....
