Denis Porter joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in February 2022. She has served our nation for 10 years and is currently a Captain within the United States Army Reserves. Denis understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a Business Minor, Denis holds Series SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Denis serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. Her thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables her to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Harry has a Bachelor’s degree in History from Virginia Tech and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School. Harry is committed to coaching clients to pursue their financial goals and lifetime dreams by bringing sound financial knowledge and trustworthy advice to a lasting relationship with each individual and family he serves. Active in his community, Harry is a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church and spends much of his free time moving his four kids to and from extracurricular activities.
