Blue Ridge Community College, located in Weyers Cave, Va., is part of the Virginia Community College System. Founded in 1967, the college has been serving the residents of central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for more than 30 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in occupational and technical, and college and university transfer programs. Blue Ridge Community College also provides noncredit work force training, and special interest classes for individuals, and business, and industry professionals. It approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Blue Ridge Community College has been awarded the Innovation in Higher Education Award, one of the Governor's Technology Awards.
