Peninsula Reads, located in Newport News, VA, was a non-profit organization dedicated to adult literacy for over 55 years. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond their control, Peninsula Reads permanently closed on August 16, 2023. However, many of their services have been taken on by Literacy for Life, which has expanded from Williamsburg into Newport News. Literacy for Life, now offering services in the Lower Peninsula, has assumed the responsibilities previously held by Peninsula Reads. With a focus on adult literacy, Literacy for Life continues the important work of providing educational support to the community, building on the foundation laid by Peninsula Reads for over five decades.Generated from the website
