Berkeley Middle School, a unit of the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools system, was started as a high school in 1965. The school serves the educational needs of students in grades six through eight and has an enrollment of more than 800 students. It offers educational programs in fine and language arts, math, health and physical education, science, social studies and world languages. The school s library is equipped with more than 10 desktop computers and features a media retrieval system and editing room for use by teachers and students. It has athletic teams in basketball, baseball and volleyball. The school provides various extracurricular activities, such as orchestra, choir, student council, chess and yearbook clubs, and jazz and percussion ensemble. Berkeley Middle School is located in Williamsburg, Va.
