The Vermont Department of Labor, also known as VDOL, is a part of the State of Vermont. It provides unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, and wage and hour programs. The department serves businesses, workers and job seekers. The Vermont Department of Labor also offers an apprenticeship program and veteran services. It has various resource centers in Vermont and operates an online information center. The department also provides economic and labor market information. The Vermont Department of Labor offers workforce development and training programs. In addition, it oversees state laws and rules related to minimum wages, payments and employee benefits.

Vermont Agency of Transportation also offers support to improve the freight and passenger infrastructure. The Commercial airlines serve Vermont at both the Burlington International Airport and the Southern Vermont Regional Airport.
