Solomon and Lydia Mack Home Site

The Old Stone Bridge is made entirely of stones and was built before 1804, when the Solomon Mack family purchased this farm. At that time, the main highway through this part of the countryside crossed over this bridge.

The Joseph Smith Birthplace, located in Sharon, Vermont, is a historic site and a memorial to Joseph Smith Jr., the first President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A visitors’ center provides information about Joseph Smith’s life and his prophetic mission.

A 1.25-mile round-trip hike will take you to the highest point at the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial called Patriarch Hill. This spot offers a sweeping view of the Joseph Smith Birthplace Memorial and the Vermont countryside.
