Western Governors University

Western Governors University, also known as WGU, is a nonprofit university that offers online education to students throughout the United States. It provides bachelor s and master s degree programs in a variety of fields. Its academic curriculum includes classes in mathematics, social science, interdisciplinary studies, educational leadership, instructional design, and measurement and evaluation. Western Governors University also offers finance, accounting, information technology, and health care and marketing management programs. It provides a master s degree in business administration. The university also administers the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. It operates a library that offers a variety of books, periodical, journals, magazines and newspapers. Additionally, Western Governors University has a bookstore that sells apparel and other supplies. The university is certified by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. It is located in Salt Lake City.
