Founded in 1987, Valley Mental Health, also known as VMH, is a nonprofit organization that provides treatment and services for people with mental illnesses, substance use disorders and behavior problems. It serves Salt Lake, Summit and Tooele counties in Utah. The organization works with a team of therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, social workers and medical staff members. Valley Mental Health offers outpatient mental health care services that include counseling, individual, family and group therapies, as well as medication evaluation and management and crisis intervention. It provides in-home, housing, family support and respite care services. The organization additionally offers residential care, psychotropic medication management, psychosocial rehabilitation and forensic services. Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Valley Mental Health maintains a location in Toole, Utah.
