The Utah Transit Authority, founded in 1970, is a provider of transportation services. It designs and undertakes bus transit projects for residential and commercial businesses. The authority issues monthly passes to students aged above 17. The Utah Transit Authority offers local, paratransit and express bus services. It operates a fleet of more than 500 buses that provides delivery services. The authority also offers environmental management and compliance services, including waste management, land recycling, pollution prevention, waste reduction and environmental awareness. The Utah Transit Authority has a staff of trained and certified professionals who assist with a variety of transportation needs of passengers. It has partnerships with the Utah Urban and Rural Specialized Transportation Association and the Wasatch Front Regional Council. The authority maintains a transit center in Orem, Utah.
