Dr. Paul Meriac has a B.S. degree, Bachelors of Science in Business Marketing from East Carolina University, D.O. degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from VCOM-Carolinas, and completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He enjoys working on preventative health care with his patients, through a focus on both physical health and mental health. He has an interest in sports medicine, wilderness medicine, and select in-office procedures. He further works with patients through all chronic medical conditions, mental health concerns, sports physicals, and routine wellness physicals. Dr. Meriac understands that many patients are predisposed to developing medical conditions but also focuses on preventing disease and further disease progression through a proactive and collaborative approach with patients. Dr. Meriac works together with patients through shared decision making to help his patients make the most informed health decisions for their own unique situations. In his off-time Dr. Meriac enjoys cooking, woodworking, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking.

Dr. Erica Bisson is a Professor of Neurosurgery, as well as Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedics. She received her medical school training at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and completed her Neurosurgical training at the University of Vermont. She then went on to complete a fellowship in complex spinal disorders at the University of Utah, under the direction of Dr. Ronald Apfelbaum. After which, she joined the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts and Emerson Hospital as Senior Staff with an adjunct appointment as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Tufts University, School of Medicine. She returned to Utah in 2009 joining the Spine Division in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Bisson is a fellow of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Spine Section. Dr. Bisson has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and serves as principal investigator on several national and international multicenter trials. She continues to work collaboratively on research with faculty in Neuroradiology and Exercise and Sports Medicine at the University of Utah as well as Neurosurgery Spine faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Additionally, she serves many roles nationally for neurosurgery, including being a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Neurosurgery and serving as the Scientific Program Chair for the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Spine and Peripheral Nerves. In addition to early career leadership opportunities, including being selected to participate in the 2012 AAMC Early Career Women Faculty Professional Development Seminar, Dr. Bisson has been elected by UUMG to participate in both the University of Utah and the Intermountain Healthcare Leadership courses. Dr. Bisson currently serves as Executive Medical Officer for the University Medical Group and is the Past President of the University of Utah Medical Board. Dr. Erica Bisson specializes in complex spine surgery with a focus on cervical disease (neck pain), utilizing both novel artificial disc and fusion technology. She also treats patients with spinal cord injury, spine trauma, and degenerative spinal conditions (neck and back pain). Dr. Bisson’s professional interests include occipitocervical disease, cervical degenerative disorders, advanced spinal fusion techniques, and image-guided surgery. In her free time, Dr. Bisson enjoys outdoor recreation with her family. She is currently welcoming new patients, and accepts most insurance plans.
