Kurt Hegmann, MD, MPH, is a board-certified physician specializing in preventive, occupational and environmental medicine. He directs the University's Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, one of 18 centers in the US. He completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed 2 residency programs, one in internal medicine and the second in occupational medicine. Dr. Hegmann specializes in the care of injured workers. He is particularly known for expertise in musculoskeletal disorders and the evaluation of commercial drivers (“DOT” exams). He also serves as an occupational medicine consultant. Dr. Hegmann’s professional interests include over 15 major research studies related to occupational health, particularly in the areas of musculoskeletal disorders and the health and crash prevention of truck drivers. Additionally, he has served as Chair of multiple national medical and occupational health organizations and boards. In his leisure time, Dr. Hegmann enjoys skiing, hiking and gardening.

The Neurobehavior HOME Program, established in 1990, provides specialized mental health care for children and adults with developmental disabilities, addressing their complex medical and psychiatric needs. Initially founded by a team of dedicated physicians at Primary Children's Hospital, the program has evolved to serve over 1,200 individuals through a collaborative approach that integrates various funding streams for comprehensive care. Located in South Salt Lake, the program encompasses three key initiatives: the Neurobehavior Clinic, the Neuropsychiatric Clinic for People with Disabilities, and the UNIHOME Project. Dr. Elliott was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh where she also competed in collegiate tennis. She attended medical school as a Regent Scholar at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and completed Internal Medicine Residency and Endocrinology Fellowship training at the University of Utah. In her spare time, she enjoys four seasons of outdoor activities that only Utah can offer. Her clinical and research interests include transgender health, management of endocrine disorders in pregnancy, and management of immune-mediated checkpoint inhibitor related endocrinopathies.
