Family Support Center

Established in 1977, the Family Support Center is a mental health care organization that provides short-term crisis care services to people who are abused and neglected. It offers counseling, group therapy and parenting educational services through social workers, psychologists, and marriage and family therapists. The organization also provides a crisis nursery program that focuses on residential and respite care for young children in danger of abandonment. The Family Support Center also provides crisis intervention services and an adoption respite program that focuses on helping families find time for themselves and each other. It operates LifeStart Village, a residential facility for single women and mothers that offers life skills development training and assistance with employment search and retention. The Family Support Center maintains one of its facilities in Midvale, Utah.
