It has a staff of full-time firefighters and emergency medical technicians who provide advanced life support services. The Woodlands Fire Department operates fire stations and maintains a fleet of rescue trucks and engines. Its stations are equipped with hydraulic tools that are needed to rescue the victims of motor vehicle accidents. It also maintains hazardous material response and technical rescue teams. The Woodlands Fire Department additionally provides fire safety education and emergency call answering services.
