The Houston Knanaya Catholic Society (HKCS) was established in 1979 to enrich the lives of Knanaya Catholics in Houston through cultural, charitable, educational, and social activities, all while preserving their traditions under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Kottayam in Kerala, India. With a community of 800 families, HKCS fosters a close-knit environment that encourages the practice of cultural and religious traditions through various annual events. Renamed from The Knanaya Association of Houston in 1990 to align with similar organizations across the United States, HKCS hosts numerous events including New Year's celebrations, Onam programs, and sports picnics.
