Williams Elementary School

Williams Elementary is an educational institution that provides a range of academic and extracurricular programs for students in kindergarten through grade five. It enrolls more than 500 students and is recognized by the Texas Education Agency. The school offers special education, intensive reading, talent pool, and gifted and talented programs. It imparts instruction in art, music, mathematics and physical education. Williams Elementary features an over 25-station computer laboratory, library and classrooms, as well as a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities. It also provides access to the Internet for students, as well as organizes science fairs, spelling bee competitions and author's tea functions. Additionally, the school maintains a student council that manages a student store. Williams Elementary is a part of the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
