The Hill Country Conservancy is dedicated to creating the first regional trail system in Central Texas through the development of the Violet Crown Trail. Stretching 13 miles from Zilker Park to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the trail offers a unique recreational experience as it winds through urban wildlands and protected lands.
With ongoing construction efforts, the Violet Crown Trail is set to become the longest trail of its kind in Central Texas, spanning 30 miles and connecting various natural landscapes from Barton Creek Wilderness Park to Hays County. By becoming a member of the Trailblazers program, individuals can support the project and contribute to the preservation of the Texas Hill Country's scenic beauty.
