Hidalgo Park Elementary, established in 2003, serves more than 420 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It is recognized by the Texas Education Agency and offers a variety of academic courses, such as math, English, social studies, science and physical education. The school involves students in a variety of organizations, including a student council, chess club and choir group. It also provides opportunities for students to participate in several academic enrichment activities, such as spelling bee competitions, creative writing, storytelling and music memory. The school has a parent-teacher organization that conducts several fundraising events. Hidalgo Park Elementary is located in Pharr, Texas, and is a part of the Hidalgo Independent School District.
