Umami Burger is a fast-casual restaurant that makes thick-patty burgers seasoned with soy sauce and specially formulated "Umami dust," giving each burger the indescribable namesake flavor. Since 2009, we've been serving-up seriously yummy eats, with our crave-able burgers and shareable sides earning Umami Burger a place among Los Angeles' best restaurant lists and topping the nation's best burger lists. We've since Umami-fied San Francisco, Chicago, and New York, expanding from our flagship L.A. restaurant. In early 2017, we opened our first international location, bringing yummy to the home of umami itself, Japan. In 2020 Umami launched Umami Unboxed to further support the evolving preferences of our customers such as food halls, ghost kitchens and mobile delivery. Umami will continue its expansion throughout 2020.

From the Umami Burger family comes Sam's, the delivery-only joint serving up crispy fried chicken sandwiches. The menu runs the gamut, from a fried chicken feast to a classic spicy sandwich to sweet and tender chicken and waffles to super satisfying meatless options. And don't forget all the sides, like waffle fries, mac 'n cheese, and coleslaw. In 2020, the Umami Burger family created Sam's, the delivery-only joint serving up crispy fried chicken sandwiches. Since opening, Sam's has been serving crispy fried chickens, sandwiches, tender chicken and waffles, super satisfying meatless options, and more, plus a range of iconic sides, like waffle fries, mac 'n cheese, and coleslaw.
