The Language of Canines

History

I started training dogs as a young man, eventually training at one of the big-box nationwide retail pet stores. During my time at the big box store, I observed my students doing well in the class sessions while struggling at home and in real-world situations. I founded The Language of Canines to provide dog owners with a more effective form of training that focused on better communication between the owner and their dog. This translates into a better-behaved, more reliable dog, in a wide range of environments and situations. My ultimate goal was and is to strengthen the human-canine bond, and to help make owning a dog the joy its supposed to be.

Specialties

We give dog owners the skills they need to assure that their dog(s) are well-mannered and perform acceptable behaviors at home and in real-world situations where distractions are common place. This involves training the dog in the desired commands as well as training the dog owner to be a better handler and pet guardian. We provide both obedience training and behavioral coaching services at all levels with a practice focus on reactive and fearful dogs.
