HistoryEast Dallas Children's Music was established in 1989. We started as a Kindermusik studio, but when the curriculum's leading authors and founders, Dr. Lorna Heyge and Audrey Sillick, established Musikgarten in 1994 with its remarkable approach to music literacy, we began offering Musikgarten exclusively. Musikgarten's approach to music literacy, along with its emphasis on the young child and early learning, was best suited to our own philosophy. We also love its incorporation of nature and multicultural themes into the curriculum! We believe that Musikgarten has no equal, having the only curricula to offer a comprehensive, sequential plan of musical development for children newborn to age 9. Every level of Musikgarten, from its infant program to its keyboard program for children and adults, stands on its own and fits the developmental needs of children.
