The Early Learner Private Preschool

History

My career in child care and education began 20 years ago. I have taught in public schools and for Head Start. I have also been a Child Care Center Director. I recently decided to begin my own In Home Preschool to provide a higher quality of care and education in a small group setting where children can have an increased benefit in their learning as well as the social and emotional benefit of starting long lasting relationships with caring adults and peers.

Specialties

The Early Learner offers a Texas Education Agency Certified school readiness program that is child centered with a teacher facilitated approach to learning. There is a balance of student and teacher directed activities. Our schedule is routine oriented. Children know exactly what to expect can anticipate what's to come. Children are in a safe and predictable environment that provides emotional security and can transition between activities more easily. Mixed age classroom (2- 5 years) encourages leadership skills, mentoring and respect for others varied abilities. Having a positive preschool experience that is fun, engaging, with hands on experiences that are purposeful will help to develop skills in key competency areas such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, resourcefulness and creativity. This is a quality preschool program that lays the foundation for future academic, physical and social and emotional success.
