The Texas Renaissance Festival The nation’s largest, most acclaimed Renaissance themed park. Each year, over 500,000 guests pass through the Festival’s gates and enter the magic of New Market Village, an authentically recreated 55 acre 16th century English township located 50 miles northwest of Houston, Texas. Each year, for 9 fun-filled weekends October 5 - December 1, The Texas Renaissance Festival presents an enchanted world full of Kings and Queens, Lords and Ladies, Knights, Nobles, Fairies, Elves, Pirates, Barbarians and other fanciful interactive characters. Guests will be entertained by a marvelous assortment of unique performers: musicians, magicians, acrobats, jugglers, dancers with over 200 daily performances on over 20 stages throughout the village. In addition, there are over 400 shoppes featuring some of the finest works of artists, artisans, and merchants, incredible food form around the globe, hand powered rides and games.

This is my 4th time going to TRF. Every 10 years I make it there starting in the mid-90's. Every decade there seems to be more people and costs keep rising. Last 3 decades it was still fine....
