Texas Home School Coalition

Founded in 1967 and based in Lubbock, Texas, Region 17 Education Service Center is one of the leading regional service organizations operating a variety of school districts. Its divisions are nonregulatory and provide a wide range of services to support school administration and instruction. The center serves various school districts to facilitate increasing student performance, assist them to operate more efficiently and economically and help them implement state education policies. Its range of administrative services includes bus driver training, educator placement service, field services, and legal and school business services. The center offers a wide range of other services, such as administrator training, principal assessment, adult education, curriculum and instruction-related services, special education, and food and health services.

Located in Plainview, Texas, the Plainview Christian Academy enrolls students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. It also governs a junior high and high school. The academy offers reading, phonetics, math, science, English, history, Bible and Spanish classes. It also provides computer classes, as well as Chapel services for the students. The Plainview Christian Academy offers extracurricular activities, such as choir, art and drumline. Additionally, the academy provides opportunities to participate in various sports activities, including volleyball, basketball and football. It has a staff of an administrator, athletic director, office and cafeteria manager and receptionists. The Plainview Christian Academy also has a cafeteria that serves a range of food items.
