HistorySURFSET Fitness began in 2012 in the northeast. The idea of finding a better way to stay in shape came to ex professional hockey player Mike Hartwick who was a surfer as well. He realized that he was in better shape after a summer of surfing than he was when he lifted weights. He enlisted the help of Sarah Ponn, a personal trainer, and Bill Ninteau, who was also a surfer to create a surfboard that would mimic the motion of a real one , without the water element. The idea to create Surfset Fitness began. They approached Shark Tank with the sales pitch and Mark Cuban took the bait. The rest is history.....SpecialtiesSurfset Houston is a surf inspired workout that develops your core strength , flexibility and balance . The total body surf trainer, or the RSX as we call it, is a surfboard on top of three bosu balls. Surfset combines surf-specific movements with traditional exercises to create a dynamic routine designed to torch body fat and tone the core.
