Over time, left over auto parts were accumulated as a by-product of that business. Before long, customers were starting to ask more and more about auto parts and the business model changed to accommodate the demand. In 1967, Pipes Auto Parts opened. Soon other locations, including Pipes GM and Pipes Ford & Chrysler, followed specializing in car parts for specific models. A Pipes U-Pull-It opened on Mansfield Road in 1988. In 1990, another Pipes U-Pull-It was opened on Aero Drive, followed by a third opening in Bossier City on East Texas Street in 1991.
