Tacos Mexico, founded by Antonio Moreno in 1975, began as a catering truck offering authentic Mexican tacos made from family recipes and fresh ingredients. The success of the food truck led to the opening of the first brick-and-mortar restaurant in 1977, with the menu expanding to include a variety of traditional dishes such as tortas, sopes, and burritos.

By 2000, Tacos Mexico had grown to nearly 100 locations across California, Nevada, and Arizona, while maintaining a commitment to quality through hand-seasoned meats and made-from-scratch sauces and salsas. Though Mr. Moreno passed away in 2009, his legacy of serving authentic Mexican cuisine continues to thrive at Tacos Mexico.
