Founded in 1976, Avondale House is a nonprofit agency that provides a school, a day habilitation program and residential services for children and young adults with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders. The school provides a nurse, physician, psychologist and speech therapist as consultants to the facility. It assesses the needs of each student with an individual educational plan with goals and objectives designed to meet individual developmental and educational needs.
